Saturday 4th 11th 18th 25th November:
Excursion in Langa and Roero, the incredible area where lot of the best regional wines are produced: wonderful landscape, vineyards, wine cellars and wine tasting. Transfer to Barolo, capital of Piedmont wine and visit to the castle and wine museum. Stop to Tenimenti Marchesi of Barolo, where is possible to enter in a wonderful wine world and to admire the collection of wine, that represents their secolar business activities. Lunch into the welcome room of the winery in Barolo. In the early afternoon short excursion in La Morra to admire breath-taking panorama. After transfer to Costigliole d’ Asti at “Casa del Trifolau” (the Truffle hunter’s house), to meet the Tartufaio and his dog, to deeply enter into the white truffle world, learn, taste and smell the incredible white truffle. Truffle hunt with the Tartufaio and his dog and following dinner with a truffle menu in a traditional country-inn, to enjoy truffles as protagonists of a Monferrato typical menu, with seasonal dishes. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Sunday 5th 12th 19th 26th November:
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to one of the Monferrato villages to attend to the Truffle Exhibition of Asti and Alba, among “tartufai”, dogs, typical products and craft , folk and music. Lunch with a traditional truffle menu, prepared by the cooks of the local tourist association. Afternoon in Canelli, heart of the UNESCO Human Heritage to visit its underground wine cellars and learn techniques of the production of the famous sparkling wine. Tasting. Last stop at a wine producer to taste some of most important wines of Monferrato, as bicchiere della staffa (the last glass of wine). Departure of guests. End of the tour.
